By tailoring care plans to meet the needs of our patients, rather than insurance companies, we strive to offer an improved quality of care, and in turn, an enhanced quality of life. With expertise in both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment methods, Dr. Goldberg will collaborate with you on a therapeutic plan that meets your unique needs.
Supportive Counseling
The focus of supportive counseling is on fostering a safe and non-judgmental space where patients--and family members--can express feelings, explore thoughts, and gain insight into their concerns. As your Palliative Care physician, Dr. Goldberg will serve as the co-pilot for your journey, helping you navigate turbulence with a listening ear and a steadying hand.
Advance Care Planning
Advance care planning is like having a roadmap for your healthcare journey. It involves making decisions about your future medical care in advance to ensure that your preferences are known and respected, especially if you become unable to communicate them. Dr. Goldberg will work with you on an advance care plan tailored to your specific goals and values.
Meet Dr. Goldberg
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine, Dr. Uri Goldberg is the founder of Harmony Palliative. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and is an experienced hospitalist, internist, and Palliative Care specialist.

Dr. Goldberg completed his Internal Medicine training at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center where he developed a passion for personalized patient care.​ After several years traveling the country as a contract hospitalist, Dr. Goldberg pursued additional training in Hospice & Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. This pivotal experience shaped his approach to optimizing care for patients living with serious illness as he honed his skills in complex symptom management, supportive counseling, and advance care planning.

​As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Dr. Goldberg not only works to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals but also volunteers his time as a preceptor for a medical student-led free clinic. His commitment to education mirrors his passion for providing accessible and compassionate care to underserved communities.​

With a wealth of experience as an internist, hospitalist, and Palliative Care specialist, Dr. Goldberg has contributed significantly to the medical landscape. His role as a clinical researcher has seen him publish and present groundbreaking research at regional, national, and international conferences.​

Beyond his clinical and educational pursuits, Dr. Goldberg extends his expertise to international healthcare efforts. Volunteering with a global medical aid organization, he has traveled to developing countries to provide patient care as well as to train physicians and other healthcare workers in Palliative Care best practices.
